JOHANNESBURG: The Gwanda based House-kwaito wizard -Gift ‘Bhadilah’ Ndlovu is has postponed his Venda Cd launch to early next year.
The postponement comes as part of logistic concerns and in a manner to accommodate other stakeholders whose schedules were too tight for the launch.
“Yes the launch is nolonger going to be on the 16th of December, it has been postponed to early next year, I will announce the exact date as soon as everything has been finalised with my management,’’ Bhadilah said.
Meanwhile the artists is in Johannesburg in search for new markets and has been holding a series of meetings with top music gurus, including the CEO of Global Digital Box Orrack Chabangu who promised a great deal for the upcoming artist.
The new album, entitled Khakhamela is the third projcet by the artist, a purely Venda based project that explores the life, culture ,norms and values of Venda speaking people. The album is in line with the notion of promoting minority languages in Zimbabwe.
“I recorded this album in Gwanda at Janic studios and fans have been asking about its launch, hence I have to apologise for this inconvenience to them.”
Dickens Mathe, a teacher based in Zezane high school who is part of Bhadilah’s management , played a crucial role in producing this album.
“I am glad that the album is finally completed, people will learn a lot from this, the artist is a gem and we say to the Venda speaking people here is your own dish. Apparently one of the track is dedicate to chief Staudze, and he was pleased to watch the artist perform before him at the official launch of Zezane cultural village early this year,” Mathe said
